Dr. Anders Lundblad is Associate Professor (Docent) researcher at the Department of Chemical Engineering and Technology, KTH, with special focus on supercapacitors, fuel cells and fuel cell systems. He received his PhD at KTH in 1996 on alkaline fuel cells and molten carbonate fuel cells. From 1996 to 2000 Dr. Lundblad was IP manager and responsible for supercapacitor development in Superfarad Svenska AB.
Between 2000 and 2007 he was engaged as a researcher at KTH in the Swedish national program on polymer electrolyte fuel cells financed by MISTRA, The Swedish foundation for strategic environmental research, and also with research and development on supercapacitors financed.by the Swedish energy agency. During this period he was project manager of EU-projects and Swedish national projects, and co-supervisor to 5 PhD students.
In 2005 he was appointed Docent (Associate Professor). In 2005 Dr. Lundblad founded myFC AB and he is the primary inventor of its micro fuel cell technology (co-author of eight patents). Within myFC he has been managing the technical development of a fuel cell powered charger for cell phones, called Powertrekk (www.powertrekk.com). Dr. Lundblad is the co-author of more than 60 scientific publications and 10 patents.
He has been appointed scientific referee, member of evaluation committees and opponent at several occasions. He has also worked as an expert evaluator for the EU-commission within the Hydrogen and Fuel Cells Initiative.
