He holds a Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), a PhD in Chemical Engineering and Materials Science from University of Minnesota (USA) and postdoctoral studies in Mathematical Biology (Department of Mathematics, University of Minnesota).
For 7 years he was an Assistant and then an Associate Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Rice University (Houston, TX), where he conducted research in several aspects of sustainability.
After returning to Greece, he worked as a scientific adviser at the office of the Greek Green MEP where he followed closely European policy on climate change and energy issues.
He has experience in efforts across Europe and Greece to form energy cooperatives based on Renewable Energy Sources. He recently joined WWF Greece as the Energy and Climate Change Policy Officer, where he works on several projects focusing on energy efficiency, and the shift of the energy model from coal and oil to renewables.
